Initially a freelance makeup artist, Serge Lutens demonstrated exceptional talent in cosmetics, not only creating makeup artistry with a highly artistic approach but also possessing a remarkable gift for scent. Starting in the 1980s, when Shiseido entered the European market, Serge Lutens began working with the company. To honor his significant contributions, Shiseido launched the "Serge Lutens" fragrance brand, named after the master himself.
