The designer himself, Martin Margiela, is also known as the "Deconstruction Genius," "Master of Deconstructionism," and one of the "Antwerp Six" from Belgium. The designs of Maison Margiela often draw inspiration from the nostalgic styles of the 1970s, with entire collections imbued with a hippie essence yet exuding a more refined elegance.
